The Direct Support Professional is responsible for the health, safety, goals, independent living skills, and protection of rights of each individual at Peace of Mind. Direct Support Professionals work with adults in a community residential setting, or one on one in their home.

This position involves assisting individuals with disabilities acquire various work related skills necessary to obtain employment and maintain employment in the community. Job Coaches provide ongoing support to clients working at various employment sites within the community. This support is individual-based and centered around work-related goals that focus on helping the client obtain the maximum level of independence within their job.

We are looking for compassionate and motivated people to fill our Advanced Direct Support Professional role. We have a loft in the upstairs of our London Road office to support individuals with complex needs, if we are not caring for the individual in their home. This could be someone with medical needs or people needing a positive support strategy. If not in the loft, the Advanced Direct Support Professional will go to the individual's home to provide care. The main goal of the position is supporting individuals with their basic needs: personal cares, nutrition and hygiene. We want to make sure their needs are met and ensure they have the best day possible while in our care. This can be done by promoting socialization, community engagement and overall supporting their interests. Whether the interests are watching movies or going for a walk, there is always something to do!

The Mental Health Practitioner provides ARMHS services to adults to enable psychiatric stability, social competencies, personal/emotional adjustment, and independent/community livings skills.
